Waterfront Tech Series Ep: 13

Waterfront Tech Series Episode: 13
Smart City 3.0 Presented by: BGE
Will return back in person on 10/20/2021 3:30-6:00 pm
VENUE: Fogo De Chao Baltimore, 600 E. Pratt, Baltimore MD, 21202

The premise last year was to examine "Lessons Learned from Smart City" and we wound up examining what trying to implement a smart city thus far has amounted to, where we are, and where we need to go to see any real movement. Since Baltimore is not really a smart city at all, YET, we did not want to have a Smart City 2.0 and falsely create all these bells and whistles when we know there is a great deal of work that still needs to be done.  BGE was at the helm last year and is returning this year to update us with all their work in Annapolis with their "smart lighting" project work to light up at risk neighborhoods...and now they have started the same idea in Johnston Square in Baltimore City, so slowly but surely we plan to educate business owners, and leaders on what a smart city is, the benefits of modernizing Baltimore City so that small and medium business(s) can thrive, and so we can continue to create relationships like BGE to LiteCloud to Project Waves, and beyond to see how we really, truly, ramp our amazing city up to actually be on the grid providing the amenities we need to make this city genuinely move forward in unity.

We just need to find a way to work together, consistently, to make that happen and we believe, Waterfront Tech Series, is that platform to facilitate those relationships. We need small and medium sized businesses to suit up, show up, and make AN INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCE TO not only this year's Smart City development, but for years to come. As a business owner you will learn how to digitize your own company, while you create important inroads and relationships around modernizing our city all while creating a tangible ROI in downtown Baltimore that trickles out throughout Maryland.

Ideally this event in the future will be to celebrate how far we have come and all the innovation that has been created, but we MUST start somewhere, together~
