Waterfront Tech Series Episode: 11 Smart City 2.0 Presented by: BGE

Since it's inception in 2017 Waterfront Tech Series has taken on such emerging technologies as blockchains, cyber security, AI, VR, HealthTech, EdTech successfully by proving to be the “go to” open platform forum to discuss best practices, business leadership opportunities, shifts in company culture, improvements on customer service, how WE give back to our community, and how WE collaborate to bring the top of technology that will help our city grow in Education, Healthcare, Safety, Transportation, Hospitality, and beyond...

The Mission for Episode: 11 is to bring awareness and education to our local business leaders on what "Smart City" is with all of it's advantages, and how WE can work with local government to minimize pitfalls. Since there is no formula on how to arrive at a "Smart City" to date WE find ourselves in a unique position to be a part of the core group of business leaders who help to finesse the technical as well as cultural shifts that will allow for a successful transformation to a "Smart City" here in our own background.

Smart City: A smart city is a municipality that uses information and communication technologies to increase operational efficiency, share information with the public and improve both the quality of government services and citizen welfare.

Whether virtual or in person, please save the 10/14/2020 4:30-7:30 date and time slot for Waterfront Tech Series Ep: 11 "Smart City" 2.0 Presented by: BGE. If we do need to do zoom call the time will be shortened, otherwise, WE look forward to seeing YOU in person!

If you are looking to network with like minded professionals, business owners, community leaders, local government officials, and the like to learn more on "Smart City" and where you or your organization may be able to make your own impact or gain deeper insight into your own digital transition that ocurred earlier this year and best practices to be aware of.

Since there is no defined way to arrive at a "Smart City" to date, WE, as business leaders are in a unique position to help shape both the delicate technical and cultural shifts necessary to implement a successful "Smart City" model here in Baltimore, in surrounding counties, and beyond! The more WE can educate ourselves as a united front ie: using technology to create "digital readiness"-Abell Foundation, the more we can help the entire whole of Baltimore offer resources for prosperity to all neighborhoods.
